Cruise Tasik Putrajaya

Officially launched in 30 August 2003 by the then Prime Minister Dato Seri Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad, Cruise Tasik Putrajaya (CTP) is an initiative by Perbadanan Putrajaya, the city’s authority and administrator.
As the cruise service provider in Putrajaya, CTP was set up to tap into the recreational potential of the unique 650 hectare man-made lake and wetlands which spans across the city’s landscape. CTP also serves to complement the city’s tourism appeal, allowing visitors to see and marvel at the many stunning sights and landmarks from a unique perspective.
Cruise services operated by CTP include sightseeing tours by perahu boats or air-conditioned cruise boats which also offer a dining cruise experience. Other tours include love boat ride, cocktail cruise, tea cruise, lakeside dinner, party/karaoke cruise and private boat charters for functions or events.
Sights and landmarks covered by CTP cruises include Putra Mosque, Darul Ehsan Palace, Ministry of Finance, Ser Wawasan Bridge, Millennium Monument, Palace of

Justice, Ser Saujana Bridge, Perdana Leadership Foundation, Putrajaya International Convention Centre, Seri Gemilang Bridge, Perdana Putra (Prime Minister’s office) and Putra Bridge.
The CTP office and ticketing counter is located at Jeti Putra, underneath Putra Bridge. Entrance to Jeti Putra is from the Dataran Putra, where the Putra Mosque and Prime Minister’s office is located.

Comments: I visited the passenger cruise on the 17th of October 2007 noon as I found out that cruise only open up to 7pm. I arrive the place at 2.30 and it didn’t take long for me that get a parking. The signs at Putrajaya help a lot as I didn’t face trouble finding that place. I proceed to the counter as soon as I reach the spot. I found two different packages-one was 30minutes ride and the other one is 45minutes ride. One folds another. I was thinking hard on which package to take finally I decided to take the longer ride which I paid for RM30. Cruise arrive sharp 3pm. I was so excited then I realize majority of the passengers are from overseas like the Arabs and Vietnamese. I started to think, why don’t Malaysian have the thoughts to visit the places within our countries as there are actually simply beautiful and I dare to say is up to an international standards. Inside the cruise, I was introduced to places like the biggest mosque in Malaysia, Sri Wawasan bridge which is beautifully structured and etc. I even got to know that their offer dine in and wedding packages in cruise as well. WAO~ what a deluxe packages. Overall, it was a very relaxing trip as all I needed to do is just stick with the chair and we will be able to see buildings at both side with the cooling air system.
